The Genesis Of Gladness

Every person desires happiness, joy, and fulfillment. Yet many search for gladness in success, possessions, relationships, or personal achievements, only to discover that these things cannot provide lasting satisfaction. Psalm 119, the longest chapter in Scripture, begins by revealing the true source of blessedness and joy. Before discussing the greatness of God's Word in detail, the psalmist establishes a foundational truth: genuine gladness is found in a life that walks with God and follows His Word. The "genesis" or beginning of gladness is not found in circumstances but in obedience to the Lord.
