Free as a Bird, Happy as a Bald Eagle

People often speak of being "free as a bird" or "happy as a bald eagle" when describing a life of independence and fulfillment. Yet true freedom and happiness are not found in doing whatever we want; they are found in becoming what God created us to be. In Genesis 1:26-29, God created mankind in His image, gave humanity purpose, responsibility, and a relationship with Himself. Before sin entered the world, Adam and Eve experienced genuine freedom because they lived according to God's design. This passage reminds us that the happiest and freest people are not those who reject God's authority, but those who embrace His purpose.
