Weep No More: Encouragement in Discouraging Times
Aug 23, 2026 • Ben Bateman
Discouragement is a common struggle, even for Christians, especially during difficult and uncertain times. Through the life of Jeremiah, the “Weeping Prophet,” we see a man who faced hardship while faithfully proclaiming God’s message to a nation he deeply loved.
Jeremiah and Lamentations provide encouragement and hope for believers facing discouragement. Even in bleak and difficult circumstances, God calls His people to remain hopeful and faithful. The challenge for Christians is to respond to discouraging times with faith, trusting in God rather than allowing sorrow and hardship to overcome us.
In the midst of discouragement, we can find hope in God and “weep no more.”
