The Right View of God

Our view of God shapes every aspect of our Christian life. If we see God as small, distant, or uninvolved, our faith will be weak and our worship will be shallow. But when we see God as He truly is—holy, exalted, eternal, and yet compassionate toward the humble—our hearts are transformed. In Isaiah 57:15, God provides one of the most remarkable descriptions of Himself in all of Scripture. He is the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, yet He dwells with those who are humble and contrite in spirit. This verse reveals both the greatness of God and the grace of God.
