Set Apart and Ready

In a world that increasingly questions, opposes, or misunderstands the Christian faith, believers are called to live differently. Peter wrote to Christians facing hostility and persecution, reminding them that their response should not be fear, anger, or compromise. Instead, they were to set Christ apart as Lord in their hearts and always be prepared to explain the hope they possessed. A believer who is set apart for Christ will be ready when opportunities arise to share the Gospel and defend the faith. Our testimony is strengthened when our words are matched by a life of integrity, humility, and godliness.
