Following the Great Commission

The Great Commission is not merely a command given to the apostles—it is the mission of every believer and every church. In Acts 16, Paul and his companions followed God's leading into Macedonia, where they encountered a woman named Lydia. What appeared to be a simple conversation by a riverside became a powerful demonstration of how God works through obedient servants to advance the Gospel. Lydia's conversion reminds us that the Great Commission is fulfilled one person at a time as believers faithfully share the message of Christ wherever God leads them.

This passage teaches that following the Great Commission requires obedience, sensitivity to God's direction, faithful proclamation of the Gospel, and trust in God to change hearts.
