Responsive Soil

Throughout life, there are moments when what we remember determines how we respond. In times of difficulty, discouragement, or spiritual struggle, believers must intentionally recall the truths God has taught them. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus describes different responses to the Word of God. The key difference between those who remained faithful and those who fell away was not what they heard, but what they retained. The good soil not only heard God's Word—it held onto it. In a world filled with distractions, believers must learn to continually recall God's truth, treasure it in their hearts, and allow it to shape their lives.
