A Tenacity To Be True

Feb 11, 2024    Pastor Jeffrey Bateman

The Christian life is not a sprint—it is a lifelong journey of faithfulness. Along the way, believers face trials, temptations, disappointments, and distractions that can cause them to lose heart. Yet Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 5 that our motivation for faithful living is not rooted in our present circumstances but in our eternal hope. Because we know where we are headed and whom we serve, we can remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ. A tenacity to be true is the determination to remain faithful to God regardless of the challenges we face.

This passage teaches that believers can persevere because their eyes are fixed on eternity rather than temporary circumstances.
