Core Values of Discipleship: Obedience

At the heart of true discipleship is obedience. Jesus did not simply call people to admire Him or agree with His teachings—He called them to follow Him. Obedience is the practical expression of our love for Christ and our trust in His Word. While obedience is not always easy, it demonstrates our faith, shapes our character, and allows God to work through our lives in powerful ways. A disciple understands that following Jesus means surrendering personal preferences, trusting God's plan, and faithfully doing what He says, even when the path is difficult.
