Careful What You Say

Words are powerful. They can encourage or discourage, heal or hurt, unite or divide. While we often think of our speech as a small part of daily life, Scripture repeatedly emphasizes the tremendous influence of our words. Solomon teaches that the mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, while careless and sinful speech can bring destruction. In a world where words are spoken quickly and often without thought, believers are called to use their speech in a way that honors God and blesses others.
