The True Power of Communion

Communion is far more than a religious ordinance or a memorial service. At its heart, communion is about fellowship with Jesus Christ. It reminds believers of Christ's sacrifice, but it also points to the ongoing relationship we have with Him. In Galatians 2:20, Paul provides one of the clearest descriptions of what true communion with Christ looks like. His life had been transformed by the cross. Christ was no longer simply someone Paul believed in—Christ was living in him. The power of true communion is found in a life that is surrendered to Christ, sustained by Christ, and centered upon Christ.
